Our primary objective of the Dubuque Main Street & Dubuque County SWAP Grant program is to assist in the rehabilitation of historic downtown properties by investing in interior renovations of commercial, residential, or mixed use properties.

Approval Process
1 / Application Review
The Dubuque Main Street Economic Vitality and Design Committees will review applications and scored based on our internal scoring metrics.
2 / Final Approval
The Economic Vitality & Design Committees send their recommendations to the DMS Executive Committee for final approval.
3 / Recipients Notified
Recipients are notified and the window for project completion begins.
4 / Funds Distributed
Once Dubuque Main Street can verify that the proposed project has been completed, the awarded funds will be distributed along with a photo-op at the property with Main Street representatives.
