Voices Studio

Pictured above, the Voices Studio is one example of how an art ecosystem is taking shape along the Central Avenue corridor in downtown Dubuque. Voices Productions has acquired a new home at 1585 Central Ave. With Dubuque Main Street's help, Main Street Iowa awarded this project a $100,000 Challenge Grant to help stimulate revitalization and community building through creative placemaking. Since 2005, the City of Dubuque has awarded over $4.1 million to Dubuque-based arts and culture organizations and creative projects that reach thousands of Dubuque adults and children each year while enhancing the vibrancy and vitality of our community.

Dubuque Main Street Grants

Dubuque Main Street (DMS) is proud to offer the following grants in 2023:

Facade Grant: Match up to $2,500

For signage, paint, or overall historic preservation of the front of your building.

​

Retail Build-Out Grant:

Match up to $25,000 for the build out of your retail space.

​

SWAP Grant with Dubuque County: Match up to $10,000 for the historic renovation of your building, including upper floor housing.
